She is an elegant, intelligent and energetic woman with a warm presence and an athletic lifestyle. Born in Tilburg and raised in a close-knit family with three brothers, she learned perseverance and curiosity from an early age. While her mother was an artist and father a doctor, she chose economics and finance. After studying in Amsterdam she continued her education in Oxford and went on to build an international career in London and on Wall Street.
After marrying an American she moved to the United States, where she still lives and works. Although the marriage has ended, her three sons remain the center of her world and her greatest source of pride. The loving and strong bond she shares with them is what matters most, but now that the last one is leaving the house she is open to new adventures! Looking ahead, she envisions part of her future back in the Netherlands while remaining internationally oriented. Family and friendships are important to her, with many lifelong friends in the Netherlands as well as abroad.
She is analytical and driven, yet finds joy in coaching and sharing knowledge. Outside of work she enjoys cooking, reading, traveling and culture. Sports and health are essential in her life: she rows, swims, bikes, sails and goes to the gym. Balance matters to her, enjoying good food and a glass of wine, while living consciously and staying healthy.
